Welcome to Dingle! Tá Fáilte Romhat! |
Daingean Uí Chúis – Dingle Dingle is a charming seaside fishing town with an abundance of unspoiled beaches and beautiful scenery. From the historical Blasket Islands to the peak of Mt. Brandon, there is always much to do in Dingle. An Gaeltacht – The Gaeltacht Dingle is in the Gaeltacht, or Irish-speaking area. As such, its cultural traditions such as language, music, story-telling, and festivals are very much alive. A holiday in the Gaeltacht can be very rewarding indeed! A few things not to miss: Slea Head Drive It's one of the most beautiful drives in Europe, and it's not too long! If you have a nice day, bring a swim suit, for there are many beaches! Fungie, the Dingle Dolphin Whether you swim with him, take a boat out to see him, or simply watch him from the shore, it's an experience many people never forget. The Blasket Islands If the weather is fine, there is not better place to be if you like peace and quiet. Famous for its writers, the Great Blasket is now uninhabited, except for a large seal colony, but you can go for a day trip or camp. Craic agus Ceol - Music! You can find a lively session of Irish traditional music most nights in town. There are also concerts in St. James' Church in the summertime. |
Our flagship Dingle shop is located on Strand Street, in the centre of town. Come in for ice cream, a coffee, some chocolate, or just to say "hi!" |
