Welcome to Killarney! |
Cill Airne – Killarney Killarney is a bustling town with lots of shopping opportunities. However, its greatest attraction (besides Murphys Ice Cream) is its proximity to Killarney National Park, which is one of the most beautiful places in Ireland. With dramatic mountains and scenic lakes, it is a hiker's paradise and sure to impress visitors. Killarney is also a central place to base a Kerry holiday, with the park, the Ring of Kerry, Dingle, Kenmare and many other beautiful spots all within a short drive. With lots of hotels and B&Bs, there is generally no shortage of accommodation. A few of many things we're happy to recommend: A cycle in the park You can rent bicycles from several vendors, and the park makes a perfect bicycling excursion. Pack a picnic! A stroll around Muckross Especially in Spring, when the flowers are in bloom, these gardens are a sublime place for a wander. An hour or two at the playground Killarney has a fabulous playground (near the cathedral, on the road to Dingle) for kids with swings, slides, climbing ropes and much, much more. It will be hard to pull them away! A chance to watch the Kerry footballers If you like sports and there is a match on, be sure to visit Fitzgerald Stadium to see the famous Kerry football team compete! |
Our shop is located at 37 Main Street, right in the centre of town. Come in for an ice cream, a coffee, a cake, some chocolate, or just to say "hi!" |
